Rio Palenque
This album presents some of what I encountered at the Rio Palenque Biological Reserve in coastal Ecuador during repeated visits in the early 1990s. It is one of the very few remaining mostly undisturbed areas of Ecuador's lowland rainforest. The reserve was founded by Calaway Dodson and his wife Piedad and in 1978 was considered the most biologically diverse location on the planet as described in Dodson and Gentry's book: https://journals.flvc.org/selbyana/article/view/120203
