Ingenio Mapiri trail

The segment of the original Incan road system between Ingenio and Mapiri is still passable with considerable effort. I had to bribe the local guide guild with unneeded climbing gear before they would describe the difficulties and appropriate choices to succeed. It took three or four days and was one of the most rewarding hiking experiences because of the history, stunning landscape and necessary stamina to persevere despite discomfort.
