Reserva Ecologica Cotacachi-Cayapas

An ecological reserve in the coastal tropical lowlands near the border with Colombia. I broke my leg while on-site five hours up the Rio Cayapas; fortunately, the weekly visit by Alas de Socorro air taxi bringing medical supplies had just arrived and flew me home to Quito.
